Party Recap

I am so excited to share this Cowboys and Indians themed party I styled for the most adorable one year old cowboy! The little man’s mama decided on the theme and let me do the rest. As you can see, I had so much fun with the details! I really wanted to transform the venue into the wild west so I hung “wanted” signs of the birthday boy and used a lot of rustic items such as the burlap table cloths with red bandana accents, galvanized serve ware, weathered boxes, etc. Raw Sewing Edge did an amazing job creating exactly what I envisioned with the "Cowboys", "Indians", "Cowboy Chow" and "Watering Hole" banners. We also staged a little scene with a teepee, some colorful blankets and a hay-bale horse that the kids could pose on for a photo op...the kiddos loved this! A few of my favorite details were the arrows I made by wrapping dowels with washi tape and tying colorful feathers to the end with brown suede and the root beer cowboys...both were super easy, inexpensive and really added a unique touch to the overall theme.

I loved designing the dessert table as there were so many fun colors and props to work with. I kept it playful by using colorful figurines for the cupcake toppers and staged cowboys and indians camps around the tables. Peppermintandwish made adorable arrow pics and a coordinating cake topper for the target cookies and smashcake. Simply aMayzing Sweets did a fantastic job on the teepee cake pops made in pink champagne flavor which is to die for! I finished the scene with a vintage red
chalkboard I picked up at a swapmeet boutique store that the talented Marisa Cook, (who happens to be my neighbor:) freehanded for me.

We went with BBQ to coordinate the food station with the theme and used pie tins for serving dishes which added to the western feel. The “cowboy” root beer bottles had bandanas that happened to coordinate with the blanket we put on the hale bale
horse:) and mini flocked cowboy hats. Just a Little Sparkle designed the most amazing printables that completed the look.

Little guests went home with custom linen bags with cowboys and indians figurines and the adults got “trail mix” to snack on for the way home. This was such a fun party to style and the guests all had a great time!
