Party Recap

This party was inspired by Sam's love of our homeschool science experiments! I started by illustrating some beakers filled science-y ooze and fumes coming out and used those on printables throughout the party including food labels, a poster, and the cake topper. Some of my favorite details were the cookies in petri dishes, the graph paper inspired table cloth and the cake with bright green drip frosting that looked like slime. I DIY-ed a number "6" piñata in our color scheme along with some glow in the dark slime which we put in little beakers and labeled with "radioactive slime" favor tags. I also bought science safety goggles, test tubes, droppers and various beakers to use as decoration throughout. The kids had a lot of fun with their drinks and the droppers and it was so cute to see them all running around in their safety goggles! We had the party around dinner time with lots of friends and family and ate hotdogs and Sam's favorite sides - corn on the cob and mac and cheese. Dessert was chocolate cake with white frosting, cupcakes, and sugar cookies. I hope you enjoy these party photos and are inspired to through a science party of your own! All invitations and paper goods can be found in my shop: printsforevents.com.
