Party Recap

Bugs can be cute. Don’t believe me? This swarm of geometric and colorful bugs were just the right look for our Sammy's big birthday celebration.

I wanted COLOR for this set of Bug Birthday Party decorations, and did they turn out just perfect! From the pennant banner to the cupcake toppers everything I designed was bright and popped against our natural setting.

Bug inspired sweets covered Sammy's dessert table, lemon cake pops with bug embellishments, chocolate covered pretzel “twigs”, geometric cereal treat triangles and homemade vanilla cupcakes. Now, you certainly don’t have to include this many sweets at your party, we just wanted to offer our guests options!

For those guests who needed to snack a bit, we served up popcorn in matching bug boxes, strawberries on these ADORABLE ant appetizer picks, and some bottled water for bug catchers on the go.

We also included some party favors with bugs, of course, some candy-to-go and our party activities right here with the table.

Our party guests used some adorable, and age appropriate, bug “catching” equipment – a net, a case and a magnifying glass. Rest assured that NO bug was harmed or even caught during this party activity… We chased some, looked at some and hunted for them, but drew the line at coming too close to real bugs. Our bug containers were eventually filled with rocks and sticks and other natural treasures. All in all a really great birthday bash for sweet little Sammy!
