Party Recap

For Rylins first birthay, I started off by getting him a photo shoot so that I could present his pictures at the party. I found an old window frame in my basement and used it to hang on the wall and string some pictures from the photoshoot on it. I used the remaining photos to spell out Rylins name on the wall and made a number 1 with the photos also. I hand made Rylins invitations, his birthday banner, the cloth banner for his high chair, and most of the other decorations. In the main party room I blew up balloons and hung them upside down from the ceiling with string.
I came up with a menu to match the theme of the party. I also had four games/activities to match the Mickey theme. I made a big toodles and just like on the Mickey Mouse clubhouse show, we needed Mouseketools. So under the question marks were pictures of a bat, a net, crayons, and a blindfold. We needed those mouseketools in order to play the games, the bat for the piñata, the crayons to color, the blindfold for pin the nose on Mickey and the net for gooey fishing.
What is the gooey fishing game? It's a game I came up with where I blew up balloons to look like fish, I put them in a small blow up pool on my porch and two of the balloons contained a piece of paper saying "winner" inside. Who ever caght the winning fish with their net, won a prize. While the prizes were being given out, I also handed out the party favors to all the other kids so that in the end, everyone is a winner
