Party Recap

Do you love the 4th of July? Me too! Bring on the the red, white and blue! The 4th of July is such a fun holiday to host a party for. It is the perfect way to celebrate with friends and family. The best thing about hosting a 4th of July party is you don't need to worry about deciding on a theme-- red, white and blue is always the way to go! I have several ideas to keep your party simple, while taking it to the next level with creative party ideas.

DIY Balloon Garland and Streamer Backdrop: A party must is an eye-catching backdrop. This is usually created around the focal point for the party (think food/drink table, dessert table, photo-booth, etc.). My 2 go-to items to create a backdrop: DIY balloon garland kit and/or a streamer backdrop. For this backdrop, I used my red, white, and blue DIY balloon garland kit. My kit is SO easy to use. It includes all of the materials needed and easy to follow instructions to create the garland. Purchase your own DIY balloon garland kit here! The streamer backdrop is an easy DIY. If you have free time, I highly recommend creating one! Click here for the video tutorial.

Table Decor: Keep it simple! My best tip is to use seasonal flowers as your decor. Add an American Flag into your floral arrangements to make them extra festive. Shop at places like Target dollar spot for seasonal pieces- they always have the cutest seasonal party ware that is super affordable. That is where I purchased my plates, napkins, table cloth and cutlery.

Food & Drink Ideas: I love trying to make the food/drinks I'm serving match the theme! My favorite thing to do is use a star cookie cutter for fruit and cheese. Watermelon is a must for the 4th of July. Simply cut your watermelon then use a star shaped cookie cutter to make watermelon stars. Your guests will love it! Other food ideas: Display drinks in clear carafes and use little dishes in varying sizes for food to create dimension. Blue corn tortilla chips and pico de gallo are always a great option to match the red, white and blue theme!
