Party Recap

I had so much fun planning my baby girl's first birthday! The decorations were all DIY projects and all of the food was prepared by myself or helpful friends and family.

I love the look of whimsical hot air balloons, and I wanted to combine it with bright, cheerful colors that represent the excitement that Hayden brings to our lives.

See the full party details at my blog (www.hellobrielle.wordpress.com).

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We served soup and salad for the adults with Crescent Roll wrapped hot dogs for the kids. Everyone enjoyed the rainbow fruit skewers with heart marshmallows on top.

  • What People Drank

Water, coffee, and milk from milk bottles (chocolate, whole, and regular).

  • Best Moment

Seeing Hayden taste her rainbow cake!

  • Funniest Moment

Watching Hayden in the ball pit - she never wanted to leave it!

  • Best Dressed

The birthday girl in her rainbow leg warmers :)

  • Desserts

Cookies and milk bar and rainbow layer cake.

  • Party Favors

Goody bags for taking home cookies.

  • Activities / Games

Since all the guests were under two and a half, we had a ball pit that they loved to play in.

Thanks so much! Do you need tips on anything in particular? I would try to borrow as much as possible and start early if you're going to DIY a lot of the details. I gave some info on my blog (address above) but let me know if you have further questions. -Monika
