Rainbow Chevron Elmo-themed 2nd birthday

Party Recap

We threw an Elmo party for our daughter, who was turning two. To make it a little more girly, we added a rainbow chevron to the details. It was also her golden birthday (turning 2 on the 2nd) so I added in gold details where appropriate.

I bought the digital scrapbook paper from here:

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Pulled BBQ sandwiches, hotdogs and Elmo-shaped sandwiches for the kids, chips, potato salad, Elmo fruit platter, cookies, cupcakes and ice cream

  • What People Drank

    Soda and Elmo fruit boxes

  • Best Dressed

The birthday girl in her Elmo rainbow chevron pillowcase dress! I bought it from here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CookieBellaCreations

  • Desserts

    Cupcakes, cookies and ice cream

  • Party Favors

Elmo sand buckets with shovel that contained play dough, gold necklace (for the "golden" birthday), Elmo ring, crayons, Elmo note pad and bag of Goldfish crackers. Each child got a balloon tied to the bucket. I had to Mod Podge the Elmo onto the buckets. I cut out the Elmo from a roll of wrapping paper.

  • Activities / Games

Elmo coloring pages and play dough stations
