Selected as Party of the Day on November 4th!
Race on Over to this Modern 'Grand Three' Race Car Birthday!
ByParty Recap
My son, Hudson, is majorly obsessed with race cars so for his 3rd birthday I decided to throw him a Grand Three race car birthday bash! I brought the stadium to my backyard with race tracks, checkered flags, a concession stand and plenty of cars for the kids! It was a dream day for my little racer!
I had two main areas of decor focus here. The first was the dessert table. I knew I was going to make a table out of the Penzoil cans living in my husband's backyard and wanted to use a red toolbox to add height to the table. My favorite detail was the custom Grand Three poster I had my friend Nicole at Palm to Pine Design make for me. I always love how races have Grand Prix posters of the certain cities that host them so a custom Seattle themed poster for my son's 3rd birthday was SO fun to see!
The second area was the giant checkered flag podium backdrop. I made the checkered flag backdrop, then added a balloon garland to the top, and finished it with a racers podium my husband made. It was the perfect photo op for all the kid racers to pose on with their trophies after their big race!
This party was fun, modern, and perfect for my little racing fan! The Party Plan from Allison Carter Celebrates made it stress free and saved SO much time as well!
