Party Recap

So thankful for this website, I got so many ideas from the Art parties published. I went with a "Warhol" theme.

We splatter painted canvases, made self portraits, colored Andy Warhol prints, made dolls, painted with our feet and streaked color in our hair!

The cake and doll idea came from the Art Party published on this site by http://www.sweetcraftcakes.com.

I found the clothespin doll tutorial at http://goingsewcrazy.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/02/clothespin-doll-tutorial.html

Instead of presents, children were asked to bring campbell's soup to donate to our local food pantry.

You will need the following, pretzel rods, tootsie rolls and a fruit roll ups. Take one tootsie roll and flatten it with a rolling pin, wrap around the pretzel rod and shape to make it look like a brush. I used a butter knife to make grooves in the tootsie roll. Cut a small strip out of the rollup and wrap it around the pretzel just above the tootsie roll. Enjoy :-)

Hi Jodi, They are painters canvases. I cut the initials out of vinyl and stuck them to the canvas, then the kics painted over the initial then added splatter painted the on top. Once dry, remove the vinyal letter, and the silhouette fo their inital shows through. Alot of fun, wear messy clothes ;-)
