Penguin Baby Shower

My sister loves penguins and she is also a huge fan of the Pittsburg Penguins hockey team. So what better (not to mention more adorable) theme than a penguin theme baby shower?! Although she loves hockey, I did not really want a hockey theme. So, I chose to incorporate her favorite team by going with the team colors...black & gold. Since penguins are already black & white it was an easy color scheme to go with my theme; I just added bright gold as my accent. One thing not featured, that I really wanted to share, was a onesie banner that I made from craft paper that matched the color scheme. Unfortunately, I did not get any good pics of it. However, the shower turned out beautifully, and my sis LOVED it! Success!

• What People Ate

  We had a sweet table and a savory table. Savory table includes cheese & crackers, penguin crackers, penguin olives, and penguin shaped finger sandwiches.

• What People Drank

  Apple cider punch and bottled water.

• Desserts

  Sweets table included a small yellow candy bar, and penguin cupcakes.

• Party Favors

  Guests were encouraged to fill the penguin favor bags with whatever candy they choose to take home.
