Peacock Feather Dinner Party

I decided that I wanted to use deep rich colors and chose different shades of green, blue, and purple for my tablescape. I also wanted to use a natural backdrop and since it is summer time, set up my table outdoors. I started with a white and deep turquoise patterned tablecloth. Each place setting included a metallic purple charger, a plate with a thick cobalt blue striped rim, and a deep turquoise striped napkin. Napkin rings were handmade using green and aqua sequins and purple feathers. Each guest drank blue raspberry soda from a glass bottle with a blue and white striped straw. Mini birdcages were used as place card holders. Stripes of purple, blue, and green ribbon hung from these cages. I designed place cards that included a purple peacock feather design and a striped design at the bottom of each card. Chiavari chairs in a natural fruitwood color had stripes of colored metallic ribbon tied to each chair.

For the large centerpiece, birch branches and vibrant colored peacock feathers were place in a tall vase striped with purple, green, and blue metallic ribbon. Purple crystals were hung from the branches as well as striped cone vases holding hydrangeas in shades of purple, green, and blue. For the smaller centerpieces, I layered purple, emerald green, and sapphire blue aqua gems in vases for a striped effect. Vibrant colored peacock feathers and other feathers were arranged in these vases. Striped turquoise and blue candles were also placed on the table.
