Party Recap

When my sister in law Johnna Goldman announced she was pregnant, my (only child) daughter Ellie was beyond ecstatic! Ellie has been dying for another little one to play with in the family! I don't have a sister and most of my friends have moved out of state, so I don't have anyone to do things like this for anymore. It was a real pleasure to create this pretty shower! Johnna gave me a pastel palette as inspiration, and I knew she loves macrame and boho style.
Starting with the dessert table, I hung a rainbow fringe garland as the backdrop, along with a custom pastel rainbow balloon garland. The colors together were so creamy dreamy! For the diy wreath, I spray painted the "Oh Baby" wood sign and hung it with a faux eucalyptus garland and dried palm spears. The stunning cake by my brother in law Duff's bakery, Charm City Cakes West, are what boho rainbow dreams are made of! Our mama to be, Johnna, is a macrame artist, so the cake had yarn macrame work details with some boho florals. For the tablescape, I kept with the rainbow theme and spray painted chargers in an ombre rainbow. I gave it a boho touch with eco friendly bamboo plates and gold acrylic drink stirs etched as palm spears.
Next was a Flower Crown Station for all of the true bohemians! A girl needs her baby's breath crown! Here, guests were able to clip pieces of baby's breath and use floral tape and floral wire to create a crown on the provided wire bases. The party favors were made by the mama to be's Step-Grandma, Patti. They were succulents in a mason jar, wrapped in fabric and macrame yarn, embellished with a wooden stake that had "baby Goldman arriving 2021" engraved. A beautiful idea and execution! I hope you enjoyed this shower!
