Party Recap

My best girlfriends got together and did an amazing job throwing me a baby shower for our soon to be born daughter. The sorbet themed colors came from SKY Productions inspiration "Paris in Spring". Every detail from the food & beverages, cake, attire and the must have "baby shower games" was just perfect! Thank you to my besties for treating me like a princess in Paris!

Party Highlights

  • Desserts

The cake was lemon with raspberry filling. The sweet treats were meringues, mini mint chips, jelly filled strawberry shaped marshmallows, raspberry & key lime shortbread sticks, White Chocolate dipped Golden Oreo's and White Chocolate dipped wafer cookies.

  • Activities / Games

The first game was "Guess what's in the bag" and we had to touch the outside of 6 small paper lunch sacks to guess it's contents (Ie; baby washclothes, teething gel, pacifier, Vaseline ointment, bottle brush). The second game was "Memory", a poster board displayed numbered places with baby themed words underneath, each match you guessed from memory you won the corresponding candy (Ie; delivery doctor -make a match and candy prize was Butterfinger, breastfeeding-make a match and candy prize was Milky Way!) The third game was the alpha-baby name song, you had to chime in to the song on beat with the baby girl name next in the alphabet A, B, C, etc. until someone was "out" then game started again until the winner was found.

  • Party Favors

The Guest Favors were wrapped in ribbons exclaiming "It's a Girl!" and measuring tape ribbons, filled with chocolates.

  • Funniest Moment

"Ad Libs" as I opened all my shower gifts my besties wrote down my comments & reactions and read them aloud as the "overheard conversation on the night our baby was conceived" best comment was 'No, don't do that you're going to stretch it out!' Everyone voted that best comment and the gift giver for my comment won a prize!
