Our Little Linebacker is One!

Cara M By Cara M  in Birthday

Party Recap

Our little guy, Coleman, is built like a linebacker-- when we go out, folks always seem to tell us that he should be playing for the NFL. We're huge Steelers fans & thought a Steelers Foobtall/Pittsburgh inspired first birthday party would be perfect for him!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Traditional Pittsburgh & tailgate food. Primanti Sliders, Perogie casserole, Hot Dogs, Walking Tacos, Tortilla Chips & Spinach Artichoke Dip

  • What People Drank

Pop (not Soda) & bottled water

  • Best Dressed

We asked our guests to come in black & gold attire. Everyone looked fantastic in their Steelers gear!

  • Desserts

Tons of black & gold desserts with fun football-inspired names.

  • Party Favors

Mini Heniz ketchup bottles with plastic footballs filled with Lemonheads.

  • Activities / Games

We watched the Steelers battle the Ravens!

  • Budget

We had a fairly small budget for this party, but were still able to make it memorable for our little guy & our families!

We are doing a football theme for our one year old as well. I love some of your party details, especially the trading cards and some of the other printables, like the little banner on his chair. Did you create these yourself or did you use a vendor for them?

Similar questions as above... How did you do the paper items (invites, banner, etc.) - yourself? Vendor?
