Our Little Honey's 3rd Bee-day

Alayna's 3rd Bee-day was a perfect way to celebrate this Little Honey's birthday. Since birth, bumblebees have been her theme and since she loves picnics the two were combined for a 3rd Bee-day Bumblebee Picnic.

Guest were welcomed to "Alayna's Bumblebee Picnic" as they arrived. The red and white checkered table cloths and wood picnic benches helped them get into the picnic mood. The heat of the day was staved off with a vented canopy, cool drinks, and food served in baskets at each table - guests did not have to stand in line in the sun to get food. The fried chicken, salads, and chips added to the ambiance and guests enjoyed the "family style" serving.

The picnic theme continued into dessert. Guests enjoyed a "naked caked" that was drizzled in caramel to look like fresh honey. They found a variety of fruits refreshing and also enjoyed ants on a log, honey straws and other picnic and bee themed sweets.

I enjoyed coordinating all of the little details, tying them in with the colors, the bees and checkered fabric.
