Olivia's Butterfly Garden
ByParty Recap
When my daughter was 3 days old I picked the theme for her first birthday. When she was 3 months old I started on my first project for it. For the next 9 months I spent whatever free time I had making sure every detail was perfect. I knew right off the bat I wanted to incorporate the potting bench my husband built for me for my first mothers day. I decided it would make a great beverage station along with an old wheelbarrow that just needed a fresh coat of spray paint. Based on the beautiful turquoise color of the potting bench I picked the color scheme. I enlisted my mothers sewing capabilities to make custom stool covers for the kids and each seat got its own tutu. She also made for me table runners, matching bunting and fabric covered cork boards to use in the centerpieces. The dessert table featured a custom grass tabletop designed by me, built by my husband. He's so handy! It featured delicious treats all geared towards the garden with its own flowers growing up from the grass to pull it all together. My vision of transforming our backyard into a magical garden full of bright beautiful colors and butterflies was a success!

where can I find this piñata?

Mailen- it's actually not a piñata. It's a butterfly lantern I made out of some paper lanterns. :)
