"Old-Time Carnival" - 4th Birthday
ByParty Recap
For my oldest son's 4th birthday we decided on an old-fashioned carnival. Being that we live in Michigan, and there was about 10 inches of snow on the ground, I had to get creative with this one!
I've seen so many cute carnival themed parties on the Internet, but most, if not all, where outdoors. I was going to attempt to host mine entirely indoors! And I did...
I broke my home into "zones", which worked perfectly for managing the entire party. Since our kitchen and and dining room are combined... this was where all of the food and treats were. The front (toy room) was cleared out and used for a game room. And the living room was where all of the presents were kept and opened.
We served old-fashioned carnival foods (hot dogs, chips, lemonade, cake, ice cream, candy, popcorn, and cotton candy). We played old-fashioned games (can knockdown, ring toss, lollipop tree, balloon pop, pin the nose on the clown, bunny bowling, tattoos, and balloon animals). We even had old-fashioned prizes for the kids to win!!
All in all it was a great party and everyone loved how everything was decorated and flowed. We had a full house that day... I guess everyone loves a carnival!!
