Party Recap

Cue the confetti and bring on all things shiny!

It’s hard to believe it will soon be 2019. I styled a fun bar cart to ring in the New Year. In lieu of the traditional black and gold color scheme for New Years, I decided to mix metallics along with black and white.

Backdrop:

I created a 4ft balloon garland using 11” chrome silver and gold, rose gold and agate balloons; black and white for the 5” balloons.

How fun is the gold tinsel balloon tail?! I filled a 17” balloon with gold, silver and rose gold hand cut mylar confetti and attached gold tinsel from Target. Tip: Use fishing line to attach the tinsel (and the line looks invisible).

Bar Cart:

Champagne is a must! Stock up on your favorite champagne. I created tinsel drink stirrers to add a sparkly touch to each glass.

DIY: I cut about a 4-inch piece of tinsel, used a piece of double-sided tape and wrapped it around a skewer to secure it. You can use toothpicks for cupcake toppers or appetizer picks!

Cupcakes anyone?! Cupcakes are so easy to grab and eat. If you are short on time you can just buy them from the store! I purchased gold foil plates, white napkins with gold foil cheers and the cutest NYE headbands from Target Dollar Spot. The headbands are only $1 each. Get them before they are gone!

I added a cheers script balloon to the front of my bar cart. I also inflated a few extra 11” balloons and a jumbo champagne bottle that can be used for photo booth props, as well!

Cheers to the New Year!
