Nautical Baby Shower - Ahoy It's a Boy!
ByParty Recap
June is the perfect month in Texas to host a Nautical themed shower. I assisted a friend with styling a baby shower for her cousin. The cousin was having a boy and the baby room was Nautical themed which inspired the "Ahoy, It's a Boy" theme. We decided on a bold chevron and knot themed pattern with lots of anchors, sailboats, shells, and more.
We emphasized the nautical theme throughout the shower. Stations signs such as "Port of Call" for the guest book, "The Galley" for food/treats and "Cargo" for gifts directed guests to interact with the decor. We added two additional stations where guests could write notes to the mom-to-be either on diapers ("All Hands on Deck") or drop an advice card in a large glass jar ("Message in a Bottle"). Any baby clothes given to mom-to-be were hung on a fishing net during the shower for display. Finally, additional printable decor in the knot and chevron pattern embellished the food and drink items.
