Party Recap

My son Myles first birthday party was such a fun theme to plan. I designed the invitations first, and everything else just fell into place. I have been wanting to do a woodland theme for a while and what better time than the first birthday! The decorations were all handmade, most by me and the adorable chalkboard art by a dear friend. Adding in some great custom made products by local, and not so local, vendors. It turned out more perfect than I had imagined. I used very natural, rustic pieces mixed in with some fun printables from my shop. I hope it inspires you as much as it did me!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Brunch was the food theme. I served bagels, donuts, fruit and yogurt, breakfast sausage squares, mini pancake/banana/strawberry skewers and cinnamon roll pops.

  • What People Drank

I served waters, orange juice, juice boxes and iced coffee.

  • Desserts

I can't leave out the yummy homemade cupcakes topped with beautiful fondant toppers(not made by me) and amazingly gorgeous cookies(also not made by me).

  • Party Favors

Favors were little cellophane bags filled with yummy s'more fixin's.

  • Nine Photography/Kelli Ahern

    Photographer

I have been working with Kelli and her husband Brendan since my first baby was in the womb. They have taken beautiful pictures of our family over the past 7 years, not to mention captured photos of all 3 first birthday parties for us. www.ninephotography.com

  • The Sweet Life Cakery/Kelly LeVasseur

    Cake designer

I had never worked with Kelly before, but had seen her cakes at several parties we attended. I just had to have her design for me. She did an amazing job on the Fox smash cake and woodland animal cupcake toppers. All I had to do was email her my invite and she designed right from that. I will definitely be using her again!

  • Little Lotus Organics

    Clothing Designer

Annie was such an amazing woman to work with. I found her adorable pants on ETSY and had to order a pair for Myles to wear at his party. They matched the invite perfectly. I emailed Annie to ask if she could tell me where the fabric was from so I could order more for the table. She went an extra step and found the fabric online for me! I ended up buying the coordinating fabric and it looked great on the tables. Not to mention her product is very well made and extremely cute!

  • Litte Baker Fufu

    Cookie Designer

Kelsey has made several cookies for several of my parties before. She is a local baker who makes the most amazing tiny works of art! She took the invite and table fabric and used those to design the adorable cookies for the party. I love her work and if you are local check her out!!
