Molly Claire's 6th birthday

Our MC loves Fancy Nancy and is quite the fancy girl herself, loving all things frilly, sparkly, pink and purple! Her Fancy Nancy party focused on an outdoor scavenger hunt in which the girls documented their finds with their pink cameras! The event began with each girl donning her custom pink/purple tutu, putting the finishing touches on their Fancy N. party hats, and visiting the jewelry bar to really glam up for the event. Next they received their goodie bags which contained all the necessities for the hunt: sunglasses, notepad, ink pen, pink camera, magnifying glass and lastly - their individual notebook listing the names and pictures of the items they were to find. Some of them were really tricky.

With Pop leading the way the girls searched, found and clicked away documenting their finds. Parents really got into the search as well. Following the hunt, the fancies all gathered in the pavilion tent and were served their goodies on vintage cut glass plates. Awesome day for an awesome little girl.

• Desserts

  Our Fancy chose a strawberry cake for her special day - it is pink, you know.

• Party Favors

  Floral canvas bags held the essentials for the scavenger hunt; notepad, pen, magnifying glass, sunglasses, pink camera, field notebook, water bottle and a few extra feather boas and beads.

• Activities / Games

  Nature scavenger hunt. Each fancy received a book featuring the birthday girl on the cover. The pages were filled with 25 nature items to be found a photographed.

• Best Moment

  It was all a hoot! This was a party where even though the adults could have sat and visited - they were up and involved. Even they couldn't wait to find the next item. Watching the girls get dressed in their tutus and adorning themselves with jewelry and lip gloss was precious. But the highlight was watching them ooh and ahh as they entered the tent pavilion. The table was covered in white linens, the chairs covered in white organza and purple sashes. The vintage rectangular cut glass plates were perfect.

• What People Ate

  Following the scavenger hunt, the "fancies" dined on croissants filled with strawberry or pineapple cream cheese, peanut butter and jelly sandwich cut-outs, fresh fruit cups and of course, birthday cake and ice cream. The adults joined in for the cake and ice cream.

• What People Drank

  Everyone kept their water bottles close during the hunt, afterward it was pink lemonade for the fancies!
