Party Recap

This was the perfect party theme for our little girl! It was bright, happy, and showed our love for her. And the florals added that pink girly element that little girls love. I started with the sunshine and clouds illustrations and created the invitation. I settled on bright yellows, soft pinks and gold accents for the color scheme. From there everything just sort of came together! The cake was a beautiful (and delicious!) lemon cake with lemon buttercream ombre frosting topped with a sunshine cake topper and gold "5" sparkler. We also served macarons, sunshine and cloud sugar cookies, and lemon cupcakes. The tables were set with sunshine plates, cloud napkins and gold flatware. The cups had matching sunshine stickers and multi-colored paper straws. For centerpieces I created small faux floral bouquets set on top of a peach gauze table runner. My absolute favorite party decorations somehow didn't make it fully into the photos! It was a sunshine piñata with a paper-flower flower crown and face to match the invites. I so wish I had snapped a few of it! It was probably the kids' favorite part of the party too! They had so much fun breaking it open. All of the paper goods from the party are available in my shop: www.printsforevents.com . And be sure check out the vendor list for many of the other items!
