Merrit's Wizard Of Oz 5th birthday bash

We had a blast with the details, chalkboard tent cards, food that was tied into the theme such as bugles for the Strawman's hats, skittles for "somewhere over the rainbow" and the cake was six layers of rainbow colors. Red tulle bows on the backs of the chairs, personalized banner and water bottles, the party items were fun colors that were solids, polka dot and rainbow striped made the table very colorful while keeping the gingham blue to the curtains and tablecloth.
Outside we had a four color fast spiral arch with white puffy clouds, 50' of a yellow brick road ( this took 4 hours to make so I was glad that I did this several weeks ahead)
Heading downstairs I had my Emerald City sign to lead the way through the metallic green curtain. Downstairs we had the 3' hot air balloon and another table for guests to have plenty of spreading out room. We ended up moving the balloon to the yard as well for more photos. Merrit did not stop smiling from the time she arrived until she finally crashed at bedtime. It was a lot of fun and I can honestly say this is a Party she will remember for life.
