Party Recap
✨ Twenty-four years ago in August, I was laid up on the couch with an appendicitis attack. I should have gone to the ER, but instead I waited until morning. To distract me, my husband turned on the TV—and the show he landed on was Gilmore Girls. 📺 One of the first episodes I saw was when Lorelai pulled out all the old birthday decorations for Rory’s birthday. I loved that idea so much that I decided I would do the same for my own kids one day. 🎉
🩷🎀 Fast forward six years later to August 2007—Megan was born. I had always dreamed of having a daughter, but never thought it would happen since there hadn’t been a girl on the Lynn side of the family since the late 1800s. Megan was truly a miracle, a gift from God.🙌🏻
I was so grateful to finally become a mom and loved every minute of it. From her very first birthday, I carefully saved and organized every decoration and detail. For 17 years, I built up a collection so that when her 18th birthday came, we could pull it all out again. 🎂🎈🍭🍬 And we did! We surprised her with a big party this past Sunday surrounded by family and friends—it was such a joy to celebrate her in that way. 🥳
Now, all of Megan’s birthday memories fit neatly in a single tote—a reminder of 18 beautiful years of love, laughter, and grace. 🩷🎀
