SUMMARY:
THEME, DÉCOR, GAMES, ACTIVITIES + FAVORS:
My youngest child is a total WILD CHILD so I felt a Wild Child Boho Brunch for her 2nd birthday would be fitting. I designed watercolor illustrations of dessert animals for the invitation and chose bright colors for the decorations. I used the illustrations blown up and scattered around the house for a scavenger hunt game at the party and the kids loved it! I also designed “cuddle cacti” stuffed favors which I had printed on fabric from Spoonflower (and then sewed them together!) They were a huge hit. I included a teepee and balloons as part of the desserts display and created a banner/backdrop behind it all by cutting up plastic tablecloths into strips. I created 3-D cacti by painting cardboard and they looked awesome. I calso reated floral arrangements and made succulent planters for the table décor and included other natural elements. One of my favorite details was the giant dreamcatcher I made that was rimmed with balloons and said “TWO Wild” on it. It was featured over the cake + favor table. We also had an activity where guests learned to make their very own dreamcatcher—the results were beautiful!
FOOD + BEVERAGES:
A donut wall was featured along with a marble + succulent covered cake, succulent-topped cupcakes, bagels and other desserts. Brunch staples were served such as waffles, breakfast casseroles, quiches, fruit, sausage, and bacon and drinks included non-alcoholic options like orange juice and lemonade as well as bloody mary’s and mimosas.
Everyone had a great time at the party, especially the guest of honor, Maddie! Seeing my kids happy makes all these efforts worthwhile for me! Love them so!
