I styled this sugar & spice party for my niece, Mackenzie’s first birthday and love how it turned out! When coming up with a theme, I knew we should do something girly and sweet to match her personality. I started with the invitations, hand lettering the “Sugar and Spice” text and adding copper accents to the blush pink color scheme. I love how the colors worked together. I brought the “sugar and spice” feel to the party by incorporating the color scheme throughout, and serving yummy, sugary foods with cinnamon as the spice. There are so many beautiful printables from my shop in this party, making it so easy to recreate, or make your own! We DIY’d almost all of the other decor, including the paper flower garlands, flag toppers on the sandwiches, and copper flower vases. Guests filled out cards for Mackenzie’s time capsule and snacked on ham & cheese sliders, popcorn, cinnamon spice cupcakes, spiced sugar cookies and cinnamon donuts. (Yum!) For party favors, we handed out adorable little spice jars filled with jellybeans. I hope you enjoy taking a look at this party! And don’t forget to stop by printsforevents.etsy.com for tons of printables in these theme, and many others.
