Party Recap

Our little boy was born in December so of course his first birthday had to have a Winter/Christmas theme. I wanted to do a Winter ONE-derland theme. The color palate was red, green and blue. I tried to personalize everything and had to recruit help for the centerpieces and favors. The Snowmen centerpieces are actually paper mache. I purchased some cheap beach balls to get the perfect shape and then started to place the paper mache mixture on. It was a very quick process to cover the beach balls however they took days to dry and I mean days. Once dried I painted them white and decopaged some glitter on them so they would sparkle. For the nose I made one out of the paper mache as well just painted it orange. For the coal eyes and mouth I purchased some black gems. And the buttons were glittery as well. Mama loves glitter. I didn't want to do all the tables with snowmen so I made some trees out of Styrofoam cones. First I painted them green because I knew you would see some of the Styrofoam. And of course the ornamants were red, green and blue. We also had some bells that we used to fill some spots. For the favors, we gave out cake push up pops. They were also red, blue and green. I made butter cream frosting which was in between each layer. And of course they had a sticker that was personalized for my little guy and said Thank you SNOW much! We had a photographer and a photo booth. Oh and lets not forget Santa came and brought gifts for the kiddies.
