Creating an entire world of enchantment under the sea has probably been the most revved up and enjoyable party planning experience that has brightened the eyes of my girls and friends, alike. I mean, who can resist a colorful palette of varied shades of purples, aqua blue, and of course who can forget the sparkle (I know I can't)? I love textures, colors and varied shapes, but the key to this sensational color scheme is the contrast colors I chose to add dimension and necessary flair. The backdrop for this party is actually a mural that I created along with my girls, Meili and Sophia. We worked on a piece of the mural every day and watched it transform before our eyes. Most of the decoration were handcrafted by myself such as the banner, purses, purple tulle cupcake toppers, faux cakes, and much more. Yes! those cakes are not real, in case you all were wondering, lol. Why faux cakes? Well, during that time we were on a budget and we also didn't know any cake vendors. So what was a girl to do? That's right, I started crafting away! Boy, did I wish I had a Circut, but thank goodness Michaels craft store had precut die-cut outs that came in different shapes, colors, and letters with a glitter finish.....combined with some under the sea stickers... #TADA, I was good to go! ;) My husband ended up making delicious cupcakes with Little Mermaid inspired fondant cupcake topper + a chocolate seashell on the side = perfection! The girls loved them! My daughter kept the faux cakes as a keep sake. These cakes keep on giving as they continue to be the main attraction for all her tea parties with her dolls and friends, lol :) Needless to say, guests were captivated with this under the sea picturesque, whimsical under the sea elements, delicious cupcakes, and gorgeous sugar cookies . . . inspiring a splash of curiosity, and adventure! I couldn't be happier with the results! I hope this party inspires and gives you ideas for your next Under the Sea inspired party!!
