Party Recap

Easter is less than a month away and this party couldn't have come at a better time. This theme is equally cute for a little one’s birthday or an Easter celebration. I had a blast designing this little bunny party and all its adorable details.

I love the pastel colours of this theme, aren’t they gorgeous? I knew I wanted to use them on a statement backdrop, so I got some tissue paper and got working.
I love using tissue paper for party decorations. It’s so versatile, cheap and with so many colours available you can always match it with your theme. I made the garlands for the backdrop by folding circles over a piece of string and giving them a fringe for texture. The colours were perfect and I love the impact it had on an otherwise boring blank wall.

At the front of the table I hung a carrot banner – a fun element that brought contrast to the pastel colours of the theme.

The cake was the centrepiece of this table. I chose a simple vanilla sponge with coconut frosting. The shredded coconut covering the cake made it look so fluffy, I just added paper ears and voilà, it’s a bunny cake!

We also had cinnamon donuts that I decorated with circle cupcake toppers.

I kept the bunny theme with a jar of ‘bunny tails’ (marshmallows) and used the bunny cupcake wrappers and toppers set to hold pastel coloured chocolate eggs. We weren’t having cupcakes for this party, but I didn’t want to miss a chance to use those as part of this table. They turned out pretty cute.
Speaking of cute, how adorable are the carrot cookies in a bed of oreo ‘soil’?

One of my favourite details of this theme are the food labels with bunny ears. So fun and sweet!
I hope you love this party as much as I do!
