Lillian and Michael's Elegant Waterside Wedding

Michael knew after his first date with Lillian – a romantic date night at the Tabard Inn where he would later propose – that he’d met his future wife. The duo knew instantly after getting engaged that they wanted to be married by the water, so it was only natural that they fell in love with Herrington on the Bay. Lillian attributes her décor inspiration for their wedding to bohemian and rustic styles.

The most memorable details for the couple were the smallest ones. Michael’s mother “Bee” sadly passed away two years prior, and so Lillian surprised him with bee cufflinks on their wedding day – “so that he could feel that she was with him on his wedding day.” It was important to both Lillian and Michael that they incorporate some personal DIY touches, so Lillian and her artistic mother had a hand in making sure that the welcome sign and ceremony décor were handmade. The latter was repurposed for their sweetheart table during the reception.

“We will definitely cherish the immense love and joy that we felt that day, not only from ourselves but from our family and friends,” Lillian says of their favorite wedding day moment. Her advice to future couples planning their wedding is to not sweat the small stuff. “Remember to enjoy yourselves and have fun!”
