Party Recap

Thank goodness the sun shone for Emmie's Lilac Enchanted as it meant our little fairies could fly around their enchanted fairy garden to their hearts content!
I really wanted to create a canopy for them to sit under rather than focus on a backdrop, which we did by tying an old football net to anchor points around the garden. Because of the holes in the net we could easily fix tulle netting and our iridescent curtain which looked so beautiful as it shimmered in the sunlight.
The simple backdrop was a white sequin tablecloth which we carefully nailed to the fencing and the table was a wooden pallet covered in blush and lilac linen fabric.
No enchanted fairy garden party would be complete without items from the garden right?! Logs from our garden were dotted across the backdrop and in between were blue, pink and lilac hydrangea which we dried for about 3 weeks in advance.
Enchanted fairy disposable plates, cups (that came with the cutest butterflies for the rim!) and serviettes looked beautiful on the blush and lilac linen. To personalise each place setting we added a feather butterfly and a slice of agate which had their names on.
The centrepiece was one of four gold terrarium, which we filled with moss, toadstools, fairies, glitter balls and butterflies to make into a fairy garden.
Our little fairies were treated to butterfly bread (buttered bread cut with a butterfly cookie cutter and topped with sprinkles), fruit wands (strawberries, cut grapes and marshmallows on a skewer) and of course iced party rings and gold chocolate coins because every enchanted garden has hidden treasure!
The absolute showstopper was the most beautiful cake you’ve ever seen, don’t you agree? The amount of detail and workmanship was mindblowing, from the fairy door, to the lilac ombre ruffles on the bottom tier, to the icing flowers and toadstools topped with edible gold leaf.
On arrival our little fairies were given lilac fairy wings to run around in which we hung from the washing line and we applied pink face glitter, gave out the wands and tiaras and offered painted nails.
To make their fairy gardens the girls added woodland animals and flower stickers to white mugs then we half-filled them with garden chippings and using sweet scoops they added gem coloured stones. Mini toadstools on wire and a ceramic fairy added the finishing touches and they were all pretty darn proud of their creations!
No children’s party is complete without pass the parcel and musical statues is it?! Party Host Isla was in charge and in each parcel layer was a necklace with fairy dust pendant.
Our little fairies got to wear their party favours in the form of wings, wands and tiaras but they also took home the fairy gardens they’d made, sweets wrapped in beautiful vintage fairy seed envelopes, a pot of bubbles and of course – cake!
A big thank you to all collaborators for gifting their beautiful products and talents which allowed us to create Emmie’s magical lilac enchanted fairy garden party.
