Party Recap
This party was a fun mix of a party animals theme with an oceanic twist. The birthday girl just loves narwhals, so we decided it was only fitting to party like narwhals to ring in year six! We printed out a 6-ft narwhal illustration (wearing a cute party hat and holding balloons), which became the centerpiece swimming above our dessert table. I handpainted the swirling waves onto plywood and attached them to the table, which made such a beautiful backdrop for all of our goodies. The gummy kabobs stole the show and I loved the color they added to the table. I wanted to make sure to incorporate many elements that emphasized a "party vibe," and one fun addition was the party poppers that the kids showered the birthday girl with after singing happy birthday. They all thought this was SUPER fun! The kids enjoyed splashing in the pool and playing with sprinkler toys, and whenever they needed a break they could add a little color to our huge narwhal mural (which I designed as a huge coloring sheet to give them some direction). Toward the end of the party, each guest visited our Narwhal Adoption agency to select a new friend to bring home with them. They enjoyed filling out the adoption certificate and collar tag and feeding their new pets narwhal food. It was such a fun day celebrating our favorite little narwhal enthusiast! :)
