Party Recap

Layton's 2nd birthday party focus was on The Hundred Acre Woods. The invite, (meant to look like a page torn out from a book) was sent inside a book, since we did not need to send out that many. We used Hundred Acre Wood maps printed on blueprint sized paper to set all of our food on at the buffet. The same map in color was used to create matching plates for the food. Flowers and signs were placed in tree bark containers surrounded by moss to create a woodsy feel. The cake stand (an outdoor seat) was transformed into Pooh's house, complete with Tigger playing Pooh sticks on the bridge nearby. The children enjoyed coloring, painting at Pooh's painting spot, a bee pinata and of course the Winnie the Pooh headbands. Winnie the Pooh cookies in flowerpots were a fun and easy favor for guests to take home. Flowerpots were created with yellow hot glue gun sticks which were so much easier than painting and created dimension of actual honey. Guests enjoyed the party while listening to the sounds of Winnie the Pooh music. :)

Hi there! I printed the colorful map (that I found on Google) onto white card stock and cut it down to the appropriate size. I then put modge podge on the colorful map and pressed the plate down onto the map. Hope this helps.
