Party Recap
If you know me, you know I am all about the details and planning ahead. Little A’s first birthday party was one of those monumental events in my life that I had to start preparing for months in advance. 5 months ahead, to be exact.
We picked a ladybug theme based on her favorite book, Ten Little Ladybugs, but didn’t like the traditional red and black colors for the party, and instead picked orange and green. The ladybug was orange with white dots, and the background was green.
I created the ladybug graphic, which led to the design of a simple invitation, and all the other printables and decor followed. We got the orange and green hanging fans from Oriental Trading Company. Cupcakes and the smash cake were ordered from a local baker. We had custom water bottle labels, green and orange rice krispy treat pops, a green and orange candy bar, and pretzel rods dipped in orange chocolate (white chocolate with orange food coloring).
Little A was dressed in a white ruffle sleeve onesie with an orange glitter ONE ironed on it, an orange tutu and a white mini crown headband with 1 on it. The party was a huge success. Pictures below document some of the set up.
