Konstantina's Urban Jungle Birthday Party

The party animals of the jungle have donned their neons to visit their friends in the big bright city!

Our party muse, Konstantina, was celebrating her third birthday so we decided to go wild! There was so much inspiration for this party. These included jungle animals, New York City, 80’s and 90’s design elements, and animal prints!

The party was very colourful with a focus on neon brights. There was a mix of professional services and DIY elements in the party.

The party theme was kept tight with the use of the main colour theme (blue, pink, yellow and green) and the neon animal prints, which were also used on the desserts.

Some of the features of this party included:
grazing table, custom colour-in tabletop, custom party hats, selfie booth and animal shaped dessert walls!

• What People Ate

  There was a multicultural (but mainly Mediterranean) inspired grazing table with a mixture of hot and cold food including, olives, greek spinach pie, Lebanese zataar, feta cheese, vegetables, mini pizzas, Aussie style meat pies and sausage rolls, American fried chicken, quiche, selection of bread and cheese and lots more.

• What People Drank

  The venue had a kitchen with a window which served as a self-service bar. There was Coke, Lemonade, Juice, and water. For the adults, beer or wine.

• Desserts

  Dessert was birthday cake, donuts, dessert cups, cupcakes, ganache pops and cookie cakes on the dessert table. In addition, there were lamingtons and greek walnut cake.

• Party Favors

  Each child received a plastic tub (like Tupperware, from Kmart) with their name on it. The name stickers were designed in the party theme. They were filled with candy, little toy animals, animal-themed notepad and pencil, animal print bracelet and animal tattoo.

• Activities / Games

  There was a craft table and bench which had pre-bought craft activities (play-dough, decorate your own crown etc.), plus a custom colour-in table top in the party theme). There were face painting and games held by the entertainers AE Craft Events, and finally a selfie booth with props and animals to play with.

  My sister did everything for this party. In fact, she was telling me what to do! Whilst I gave the creative direction, she was running around organising everything. She even organised for the WHOLE family (uncle, cousins, dad) to help the night before! She did an amazing job.

  My family, including my dad, uncle, husband and cousins did an amazing job to help us pull this together. Could not have done it without them. From my dad making props, to cousins staying late, and my uncle organising the venue, they were amazing.
