Party Recap

Our first event of the year was this amazing DIY #MermaidLife party for the sweetest seven-year-old Kimmy! Nicole (Kimmy’s mom) reached out to us a few months ago and asked if we could help her plan the perfect under the sea soiree for her daughter and of course we said YASSS!

Kimmy’s #MermaidLife dessert table was the main focus of the party so we knew we had to glam it up with colorful chocolate coins, a gorgeous teal mermaid scale backdrop and lots of sparkle + glitter! We infused colorful pastel cake stands with glassware and gold statement pieces and even added some graham crackers and brown sugar for the soft sand look. Our treasure chest was full of shiny golden coins for the girls to fill their custom La Jolie Fête goodie bags with and Nicole even ordered special pearl necklaces adorned with glittering starfish for each guest, how darling! We dotted the table with real starfish, sand dollars and other treasures of the sea and topped the look off with some of our mini confetti from our #MermaidLife confetti popper collection. Our La Jolie Fête team created a custom HBD banner for Kimmy in gorgeous pastels, holographic mermaid scales and pearl gems, WOW! The cake + cupcakes from Charlie’s Cakes was not only stunning but equally delicious and fit our theme perfectly! We added two bubble balloon bouquets to each side of the table per Nicole’s request, which really set the ‘under the sea’ tone of the party! Along with the adorable other desserts and goodies Nicole made, our statement table was complete!

Each of the girls sat at their own magical place setting and received a gorgeous shell crown with custom metallic straws fitted with pearls + glitter for an added effect. On the dining tables our team sprinkled more of our mini confetti around pastel colored mini honeycombs ( coming to the shop soon!) and more treasures from the sea! We also placed mini treasure chests spilling over with an assortment of colorful chocolate coins because what kid doesn’t want a chest full of chocolate at their fingertips, right?

After the girls finished their meal, they went outside to decorate their very own mini treasure chests with paint, our large #MermaidLife confetti and jewels. To finish up the party, they took selfies in front of the jellyfish backdrop and partied the night away like glittery, shimmering mermaids!
