Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We had spaghetti with burger, alfredo with chicken, Apricot and Lime jello (for Apricot and Lime Chiffon), lettuce salad, watermelon for the main course.

  • What People Drank

We has Peach Blush, Orange soda, Pink Lemonade, RC Cola, Almond Tea and Water. (Each drink was to represent a friend of Strawberry Shortcake as well

  • Best Moment

Watching all of the kids run after the balloons!

  • Funniest Moment

I think my best moment was watching Kenzie was opening her gifts. She was so excited that she was throwing stuff everywhere. We had a few gifts hit the floor and all she kept saying was "oops, sorry Mom."

  • Desserts

I took each of Strawberry Shortcake's friends and made them into dessert. We had Lemon Meringue pie, Licorice (for Licorice Whip), Birthday Cake, Charleston Chews (for Vanilla Ice), Apple Dumplings, Raspberry Tarts, Ginger Snaps, Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Muffins and Carmel Corn.

  • Party Favors

Party favors were divided into three groups. For those 1 and under, their bag contained a Strawberry Shortcake coloring book, strawberry fruit snack, strawberry and cream oatmel, strawberry applesauce and a strawberry cookie sandwich. For the girls, thier bags were filled with a Strawberry Shortcake coloring book, Strawberry Shortcake pencil, strawberry lip balm, strawberry candies and strawberry fruit snack. The boys gift bags were the same but instead of a coloring book they got a baton.

  • Activities / Games

I thought it would be fun to let the kids to a balloon release. Our daughter had a green balloon, the girls pink and the boys red. She was in the middle of a circle with the girls around her and the boys around them. Our daughter was the first to let her balloon go and then the girls and then the boys. We had 28 kids then chase the balloons until they hit the woods on the edge of the yard. Otherwise the kids kept busy on the swingset and in the sandbox. During the showers, some of them headed into the house to play.

  • Decorations

We installed a plywood backdrop and covered it with white sheets. We then stapled crepe paper in alternating colors along it. I made the birthday banner out of strawberries with strawberry paper for the letters. We had a few balloons to go around the tables as well.
