Beach Bridal Shower
ByParty Recap
As the maid of honor I was in charge of throwing the Bride a bridal shower. I got the idea of a beach wedding because the bride had originally wanted to have her wedding in Hawaii on the beach, so I threw the beach wedding she never got. I homemade most of the food and planned/made all the games. The mother of the bride decorated, rented tables, made the prizes and party favors, and made the event look flawless. The party favors were wine bottles decorated and painted by the Bride's mom and aunt. We had 3 fun games, and 3 stations where guests filled out "date ideas" on Popsicle sticks, "message in a bottle" a note for the bride to put in mini bottles, and "sign your name so the bride knows you came" a wooden mermaid used as the guest book all for the bride to take home. Everything turned out more perfect than I could've hoped for!

Activities / Games
1st game: "Say Yes to the Dress" groups of 3 wrapped their model in toilet paper to make a wedding dress and the group who the Bride picked as her favorite dress won prizes. 2nd game: "The Price is Right For the Bride" I bought 7 common items that the bride would use on her big day. I made sure to keep track of the prices I paid, I made cards for people to fill out their guess on what each item cost, the closest total won a prize and the bride kept the items. 3rd game: "Guess How Many Panties" the mother of the bride and I together bought a total of 19 panties for the bride. We put them in a jar and everyone guessed how many there were. Closest guess won a prize and the bride took home the panties. We had the guests sign their name on a wooden mermaid as a guest book, write date ideas for the bride and groom on Popsicle sticks to make up a "Date night ideas" jar I decorated, and lastly we had everyone write a note to the bride and put it in a mini bottle for her to open the day of the wedding.
