Fairy Tale Storybook Baby Shower

A storybook themed baby shower for my sister, this party used colors of yellow and gray to match her nursery.

• Desserts

  Snow White Ice Cream and three kinds of Little Red Riding Hood’s Cupcakes: Lemon, Peppermint Patty, and Boston Cream Pie

• Party Favors

  Our guests received a goody bag with all things yellow and gray in it, including personalized notecards with their initial on it.

• Activities / Games

  We played two games - one where you had to name the storybook character pictured, and one where an alternate name was listed for a story, and you needed to remember the actual name.

• Best Moment

  Guests were asked to write a message inside a Classic Fairytale book for the baby's keepsake.

• Funniest Moment

  Guests created "Diaper Thoughts" by writing funny messages on diapers for the new baby. It was something fun for the parents to read at late-night diaper changes.

• What People Ate

  We had a light summer meal with salad and soup, but we decided to give all our food items storybook names: Chicken Noodle “Stone Soup” and Walnut “Chicken Little” Salad.

• What People Drank

  We had "Magic Potion" drinks on hand for our guests.
