Karina's Disney World Birthday

When searching for Disney themed birthday parties for my daughter's first birthday party, I came across a magic kingdom themed party I loved. I decided I needed to use a Disney World theme even though it is almost impossible to find any party supplies on etsy or party city, etc. It was a lot of work, but so worth it! When guests arrived, the first thing they saw was a directional sign my husband made with arrows pointing to different magic kingdom rides represented inside the party. The table in the dining room was set up to be a Dumbo themed favor table. The kitchen was transformed into an It's a Small Wprld gift area. To create that area, we purchased most of theIt's a Small World collection from the Disney Store. My sister made the other details like the flower signs and the ride facade. Inside the tent, we used black and white polka dot tablecloths to incorporate the Minnie Mouse theme. Each table had a theme of one of the Magic Kingdom rides. We picked Space mountain, Country Bear Jamboree, Haunted Mansion, Mad Tea Cups, and Pirates of the Carribean. For each centerpiece we chose 4 photos from each ride and placed them in frames from the dollar store. In between the frames, we placed a combination of pink and white polka dot and princess balloons. We found vintage toys from each ride on ebay that we placed on the tables. On the side walls of the tent, we hung vintage Disney World attraction posters that we found in a calendar we bought on ebay. My husband handmade a Splash Mountain fountain out of wood, styrofoam spray, and chicken wire. The kids had a blast playing in the water feature. The dessert table was Cinderella's castle themed. We found a 3d puzzle version of the castle to add some height to the table. The cake was from a local bakery.

  Penne alla vodka, meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting, chicken in a mushroom sauce, pulled pork, and salad.
