The soon-to-be four-year-old birthday girl was absolutely Belle-obsessed, so we made her Disney dreams a reality. Since September in Texas can still be pretty steamy, we called the party a Beauty & the "Beach" bash and encouraged the girls to bring their tiaras and their towels. We used antiques belonging to the birthday girl's grandparents, such as giant gold candelabras and vintage books, to truly make this "a tale as old as time." The look on the birthday girl’s face when Belle walked into the party was unforgettable. The sheer excitement you could tell she felt is what birthday celebrations are all about.
What People Ate
Beach fare, including grilled burgers and hot dogs.
What People Drank
Punch served up in rose-adorned mason jars.
A multi-tier Beauty and the Beast themed cake was topped with Teapot. Yellow cake pops were adorned with roses and cupcakes were made to look like three dimensional Belle figures. Cookies were shaped like Belle's gown, the Enchanted Rose, and the infamous mirror.
Each guest left with a handmade Beauty and Beast favor bag stuffed with a rose-adorned "magic" Mirror.
Activities / Games
When the girls took a break from the pool, they enjoyed spending time with Belle. She played several games with the girls and also gave them mini makeovers. The end result? Dozens of little sunkissed princesses.
