Party Recap

My sweet boy has preferred books to toys from the time he was born. We call him our "old soul" because he enjoys deep conversation and loves to learn. We adore him in every way! He's also crazy about candy and The Avengers. Somehow, we were able to pull all those things, plus bubble wrap (his request) together for his 5th Birthday. Thanks for checking it out!
Enjoy!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Salad Bar for the adults and Mac N Cheese for the kids

  • What People Drank

    Water and Lemonade

  • Best Moment

The kids all loved the scavenger hunt. Iron Man led them through the properties, finding clues from the rest of the Avengers leading to detonator tablets (mentos), needed to discharge a poisonous potion (soda), before it got in the wrong hands. The kids loved finding all the clues and watching the soda explode.

  • Funniest Moment

As my brother in law was changing into the Iron Man costume, right before the scavenger hunt, two loud fighter jets flew over the party. All the kids were outside at the time, finishing up their pet rocks, so they all saw them. I convinced them that I asked Iron Man to stop by the party and he was flying the jets. Some of the older kids weren't buying it, until "Iron Man" walked in the room! It was awesome!! Perfect timing. We couldn't have planned that!

  • Desserts

    Cupcakes

  • Party Favors

Favor Bar:(all candies chosen by the birthday boy) Nerds, Smarties, Dum-dums, Gum balls, m&m tubes Small toys: magnifying glasses, and mini Rubik's cubes 'Create-a-Pencil' Station with pencils, erasers, and grips.

  • Activities / Games

All kids were outfitted with bow ties and nerd glasses upon arrival. We had a bubble wrap trail along the perimeter of the building. The kids had a blast stomping the bubble wrap! Kids also participated in creating their own "Pet Rock." We also had small toys and a coloring station. The highlight of the party was the secret scavenger hunt led by our special guest: Iron Man

Thank you! I got the glasses from our local party store "The Party Store." I got the bow ties from Target, in their Easter dollar bins.
