Party Recap

The party was simple for this second birthday but in no way did we forget the small details to have fun! One thing we did learn....if you're going to be making a lot of cotton candy, invest in renting one, the kiddie kind we had caught fire the night before!!

Idea

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs, Hamburgers, Nachos, Red VInes, PopCorn, Cotton Candy, Dipped Marshmallows and Marshmallows so they could dip into their own sauce

  • What People Drank

Water, Water, Water, we put fun carnival labels on the water with every "term" of water you could think of...it was quite the chat of the adults! We also had sodas and juice, juice boxes for the kids

  • Desserts

Carousel Cake, Rice Krispie Ferris Wheel, White Dipped almond cookies, Jello pudding bake

  • Party Favors

Party Favors were placed inside "Popcorn Boxes" that we found at Party CIty at 8 for 1.00. GREAT DEAL!! We also had red/white striped goodie bags filled with cotton candy. Popcorn in real popcorn baggies.

  • Activities / Games

We played CupCake Bean bag toss, Pin the nose on the clown, The greatest moments for the kids seem to be the "Crane game" where they won treats. (We found this game at CVS for 10.00) They also loved the new Little Tikes bounce house we managed to get for 50.00 off of Amazon. What a deal that was!! They also played pin drop and tin can alley.

  • Best Moment

at first the kids didn't understand the "Photo Props" but once we started using them where we had the camera on the tripod...we couldn't go fast enough!! They loved this playing pretend! These props were found on google for free!

  • Funniest Moment

The funniest moment was of course watching other 1 and 2 year olds trying to open the birthday girls gifts. Each parent is trying to explain when the birthday girl just say's "Ummm, I dunno why" and shruggs her shoulders. cute!!

  • Most Touching Moment

When the party was in full force Miss Jersey, the birthday girl stopped bouncing in the bounce house and just started looking all around.....she whispered and said, "meme, mine happy". I think at that moment she realize she and all her friends/family were having fun.

  • Best Dressed

Had to be Jersey. She loved putting on that frilly little dress but then again, when doesn't she like to dress up. She is the only child I've seen get excited about opening up clothes!

  • Budget

200.00. We spent around 180.00 The most expensive thing were the rolls of vinyl table covering that we used to cover the walls of the garage and give it the Carnival effect. It was tough but that's what dads and uncles are good for!! teehee They did an awesome job covering toolboxes and mancave calendars and posters!

  • Our own Carnival after seeing our first Circus. We left out the animals for a future more outdoor/warmer party so we called it a carnival. It was great!

Red and White striped anything with a carousel Cake, which, by the way was quite easy thanks to Wilton!! Carnival theme games/toys and favors.

    Assistant

I'm thrilled that my daughter asks me to help plan her daughters party. She and her hubby come up with the idea and pretty much the three of us decide on everything together! I love being part of these milestones!!http://bridgittes.blogspot.com
