Hot Wheels Inspired Race Car Party

Start Your Engines! Pierce is turning 5! Family and friends were invited to celebrate the big event in style with a Hot Wheels race car birthday. Blue and red race cars were paired with black and white checkered flags and trophies for party décor.

A door sign was posted at the entrance to the event and read “Welcome Race Fans.” Black and white checkered pennant flags waved overhead. A “Happy Birthday” Banner was in keeping with the party theme.

The party table included a race track runner leading to the centerpiece designed with a championship trophy beneath the “FINISH” line banner. The trophy held a “Happy Birthday Pierce” cupcake topper especially designed for the occasion. Inflatable pool tires were “mounted” under the party table not only for décor, but the party was also a swim party for guests!

• What People Ate

  The “Starting Line” included napkin wrapped cutlery “Tools.” The pit crew food included a taco bar with all of the fixings, (vroom vroom) vegetable tray, (fast and furious) fruit tray, (speedway) sandwiches, as well as (champion) chips and dips. Corn dip and spinach dip were favorites.

• What People Drank

  A fueling station was set up to dispense coolant and other beverages including soft drinks and bottled water.

• Desserts

  The party desserts were plentiful including cake, cupcakes with party themed cupcake toppers, (wheelie good) race car cookies, and Twix bars decorated with M&Ms. Sweets were served on red, yellow, or green plates as a tribute to the race track “Starting Lights.”

• Party Favors

  Party favor bags contained Hot Wheels cars and mini Oreo cookies (spare tires). Favor tags read “Thanks for Racing By.”
