Holly's Garden Bug Party

A morning of garden creature fun! Taking photos in the photo board beautifully made by Nanna, catching bugs, having faces and arms painted, eating garden creature treats and decorating their own bug with all the glitter and sparkles possible.

• What People Ate

  Little people enjoyed a lunch pail full of tasty bug themed treats including butterfly sandwiches, snail rolls, mini bug cakes, grape caterpillars and ladybird cheeses. Big people had a range of other bug themed food including bug pies, caterpillar rolls, snail rolls, garden dippers and mini quiches.

• What People Drank

  Beetle juice and water, with some sneaky bubbles for the big people

• Desserts

  The dessert table included lots of yummy treats including dirt cake, edible flowers, strawberry ladybugs, flowerpot cakes and of course, birthday cake!

• Party Favors

  Little people went on a bug catching expedition around the garden to collect their party favours which included butterfly lollies, little chocolate bees and ladybugs, bug stickers and stamps and a mini bug squirty toy. Everyone left with a shortbread flower to say "thanks for helping us celebrate being 3!"

• Activities / Games

  The fun started with photos in the photo board, posing as a ladybug or butterfly, and then a chance to decorate your own bug at the craft table. Nina Rose painted beautiful bugs on faces and arms before a game of pass the parcel, a bug catching treasure hunt and popping lots of bubbles added to the fun.
