Party Recap

My daughter, Heather loves Rarity one of the most beautiful Unicorns you ever have seen and one of the main characters of My Little Pony story, so for her 7th Birthday I decided to surprise her with a Vintage Pony Birthday Party at a local Stable where she and her friends can have a magical pony ride and enjoy the view of the Equestrian Trails with beautiful horses. Since Pony-themed parties tend to be a popular trend I started to brainstorm ways I could incorporate the vintage flair into a pony design.

Rarity is a pony with purple hair and has three blue diamonds on one side of her body that represents the element of Generosity, she also has a fine gold necklace so I built a mini pony village stable with lot of rarity ponies; I took ordinary plastic mini horses and I transformed them into a beautiful white unicorns for more equestrian feel.

I love designing original birthday invitations, so I purchased laser die-cut wood frames and took them to an engraving company to have the invitation wording carved on it for more natural look, envelopes were hand made with burlap scrapbook paper to match perfectly the invitation.

The dessert table is my favorite part so I always draw and design it for each one of my parties well in advance to make sure everything will look the way I have planned in my mind. For this particular décor I set up 4 tables, the main table I chose to use a custom made ribbon roses beige tablecloth to brighten the vintage look and for the rest of the tables I choose plain white clothes with burlap runners. Custom made cookies were ordered from one the most unbelievable hand-decorated sugar cookies design places Oh, Sugar! Events; Cakes were designed by Gena the Baker master at Publix super market, the rest of the sweets and décor were made and decorated by Design My Party.

When I was searching to find a custom made piñata for my precious pony Heather I was amazed with this talented lady Angela’s Piñatas; her work shows dedication, time, and appreciation of creating custom handmade piñatas. Amazing job!

Finally; one of the fun additions to the party came from Kids Fairyland colorful shows and original games kept the kids and guests well entertained.
