Glamorous Destination Wedding in Mexico

Although she cheered him on at his basketball games and perhaps took some of the same classes, it wasn’t until college and the advent of social media that Yvonne and Abe connected to schedule a long overdue date in their hometown. From there, it wasn’t long before the two realized that, although it didn’t play out in high school, they were surely meant to be in each other’s lives.

From the very beginning, Yvonne and Abe knew they wanted to keep their wedding small and intimate as they brought together their closest family and friends. What better way than to host an exotic and relaxing getaway to Puerto Morelos, Mexico. After checking out the Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun, it was love at first sight for the couple and they couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.

Between DIY menus and a stunning monogram cake topper, Yvonne and Abe were sure to incorporate their own personalities into their wedding away from home. Their guests were just as ecstatic to spend some time in paradise and even jumped into the infinity pool at the end of the night to prove it!

After their incredible destination wedding experience, the newlyweds shared a bit of advice with other couples planning their getaway weddings. “Choose a resort that you both are absolutely in love with and accommodates your needs,” shared Abe. “Everything else will fall in place.” He’s not lying – their wedding was everything they had dreamed of! When asked to describe their celebration in three words, Yvonne didn’t hesitate to answer. “Impressive. Breathtaking. Memorable.”
