Glam backyard grad party

Like all Grads this year, celebrations were put on hold this June. While our Grad Hailie had already missed out on most of her senior year, sports, school dances and all the other memories we make our last year in high school- we didn’t want her to miss this! We had been planning Hailie‘s Grad Soirée all year long, in one way or another we we’re going to make sure she felt special! The weather was HOT and the Tri-Cities wind was blowing about 20 MPH but we rallied with some design adjustments and made the most of our day for our girl!

Guests were welcomed by some of my favorite signage to date- hot pink acrylic! Carly Allred Studio always sourcing the best for her custom designs, and this beautiful neon pink was perfect for our vibe- Hailie wanted to celebrate with her high school colors- Chiawana Navy blue, Silver, White- with a little girly glam added to it! An enormous balloon + fringe chandelier was designed and installed on the ceiling of our outdoor lounge area- fringe looks better with a breeze, and it was definitely breezy!

Capturing our day was the super talented Ilennis Martinez Photography- even in the elements she managed to make our party look cooler than it even was, and the gallery spoke for itself! These beautiful images of Hailie will be something special for her family to cherish- there is really no one else I would have trusted with these moments!

Although the wind put a dent in some of our design ideas for our day- we managed to keep some of our pool balloons in tact - and our photobackdrop managed to hold up through some pretty strong winds! Such a beautiful backyard to celebrate in!

We wanted to do something cool and unique for our memory station indoors- Originally we had tons of balloons designed throughout our day so we continued that theme with our floating photo station!

First week of June our dessert table was designed to be surrounded by balloons outside on the patio- but 110 degree temps and 20 MPH wind will ruin a pretty tablescape of desserts in a hot second so we improvised- along with a custom “mocktail“ beverage cart and more neon pink signage- we created a lounge space for guests to sift through old photos and snack comfortably inside this beautiful home! The custom cookies from Marla‘s Cookie Co. we’re some of my fave designs- tassels and cute themed treats were the perfect grab n go party favor! We kept our glam going and brought “grad” into our party with small details-

It wasn’t the party we planned but it was beautiful and maybe even more fun- plenty of masks and hand sanitizer were available for guests, doing our best to party and be responsible and still feel like we get to party!
