In late spring on a rather damp weekend we celebrated my daughter Bea's Ninth Birthday, it was a laid back celebration with a gang of her friends in our back garden. We used a beautiful bell tent to provide some shelter from the weather and spent the afternoon making fairy cakes and creating pretty floral arrangements for the girls to take home for the Mothers. Luckily the weather was kind and the rain stayed away and the girls enjoyed lots of sweet treats and plenty of girly chat in the sunshine.
What People Ate
Individual picnics that were packed in little noodle boxes
What People Drank
Fruit punch out of jars
Strawberries and cream and chocolate meringues. Birthday cake
The girls took home floral arrangements for the mothers, individual cupcakes in little holders made from soup tubs, and a bag of sweet treats.
Activities / Games
We had a floral competition and a scavenger hunt
