Party Recap

We styled a baby shower brunch that was intimate, modern, and blue for my sister Lanae, and her little Aiden Ace. With geometrics being such a trend it was easy for us to come up with the theme “Gah Gah for Geos”.

Using a color palette of Navy, gray, black and pops of mint, our vision came to life with our DIY letters, geo shapes, canvas’, favors, and amazing backdrop. The brunch was held in our dear friend’s backyard, where we were able to enhance the natural elements, from the sun’s reflection on the pool, to the greenery surrounding the yard. Mixed Gems Paperie made it easy for our design and theme to flow throughout the shower, with the coordinated games, menu, and escort cards.

The cutest and even more delicious cookies from Cookies by Heidi gave our dessert table the extra wow factor. The cake pops by Darling Sweets were also a great addition to our dessert table. Our DIY backdrop for pictures was also a big hit with silver foil balloons spelling out “Oh Boy” above it. The centerpieces were succulents, and cactus plants placed in white planters being a fresh addition to the table setting.

We made a lemon scented sugar hand scrub as the favor, which not only worked and smelt great, but it also looked adorable in baby food jars with a cute chevron fabric to top it off. All signage was done on chalkboards keeping a bright and fun vibe all throughout the baby shower. We had an area for our guest to predict Aiden’s arrival and also leave Lanae a silly note on diapers for little Aiden Ace. Overall, the baby shower was a success, full of love, joy, and a handful of my sisters closest friends, who are all ready to welcome, and love on Aiden and his arrival.
